Mount Pleasant Squash Open
The Mount Pleasant Open is an annual tournament which is a Grand Prix event on the Irish squash calendar. As a result, it attracts players from clubs around the country as well as international players based abroad. This tournament is usually held over a weekend at the end of January each year and provides members with the opportunity of seeing squash being played at a high standard.

The ever popular Mount Pleasant LTC Open Squash Grand Prix Tournament takes place from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th January 2011. Every year it attracts many of our top players competing for Irish ranking points from throughout the country and overseas. It also includes graded sections that are open to all Club members and offers you the opportunity to pit your skills against players from other clubs.
The tournament commences at 6pm on Friday 28th in Mount Pleasant and Leinster Cricket Club, Rathmines and finishes up on Sunday 30th culminating with the Mens and Ladies A Section finals from around 1pm. Spectators are welcome throughout the weekend to enjoy top class squash action.

Mount Pleasant LTC Open Squash Tournament – 2010

The ever popular Mount Pleasant Open Squash Tournament was held in the Club over the weekend Friday 29th to Sunday 31st January.
Now in its 23rd year, the tournament attracted its largest entry with 90 players travelling from all over Ireland, the UK and Spain to compete. Upgraded to Grand Prix status in recent years it is now firmly established with the leading players as a tournament not to be missed as they compete for places in the Irish national squad.
Arthur Gaskin, ranked 2 in Ireland defeated Derek Ryan ranked 3, 3-0 in the Mens A Final to reverse the result in what was a repeat of last year's final.
In the Ladies A section a large crowd witnessed one of the best matches for some years as Zoe Barr ranked 3 in Ireland overcame Tanya Owens ranked 4, 3-1.
Players from the host club featured in a number of finals with Joan Goreham winning out in the Ladies B section. Congratulations are due to all and the organisers would like to thank everyone in Mount Pleasant who supported the event as well as Leinster Cricket Club for the kind use of their facilities over the weekend.
